My perspective is continually shaped by my unique life experiences, including:
- Having studied and lived in Australia, my country of birth
- Being a multi-local (as a foreign national for 18 years, in the USA and Singapore)
- Being a member of intercultural teams, at work and play
- Complementing my qualifications in science and research with multi-disciplinary informal lifelong learning
- Connecting with global communities through TED, TEDx, DLD, Falling Walls and Singularity University
- Experiencing new and different geographies and communities through personal travel
- Participating in team and individual, competitive and social sport for over 30 years
- Being a curious generalist fascinated by the natural world and the human condition
